Head coach Lee Johnson says that Bobby Reid has a 50/50 chance of being fit in time for Bristol City’s Saturday home game against struggling Blackburn Rovers.
The 23 year-old was taken off with a dead leg after 81 minutes in Tuesday night’s 1-0 loss to QPR at Loftus Road.
That defeat is the second time this season that the Robins have lost back-to-back matches in the Championship, and sees them drop out of the playoff places ahead of Saturday’s clash.
Having missed great chances in both of City’s last two defeats Reid may look to get back to goal-scoring ways against a Blackburn side who currently sit 21st in the Championship table having won just once away from home this term.
However he is still struggling with swelling, following the knock he suffered in midweek. Johnson says “he is 50/50 at the moment… we’ll have to see how [it] settles down over the next few days ahead of the game.”
The midfielder, who has featured in all 16 of Bristol’s City games so far this season, is the Robin’s only injury concern.
