Bristol stabbing victims identified by police

The two victims of a fatal stabbing in the Redfield area of Bristol earlier this month have been formally identified by police.

Natalie Smith, aged 34, and her partner Craig Stewart, 36, of Cambridge Street died in the same incident on Thursday 8 November.

Senior Investigating Officer, DI Neil Rice of the regional major crime team, said: “This is both a tragic, and complex case and our thoughts are with the families of the victim Natalie, and of Craig, who are all devastated by their loss.

“The investigation into the assault on Natalie is ongoing and I’d like to thank local residents for their patience and support during our enquiries.

“I also want to reassure people that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this matter.”

An inquest is due to be opened by the coroner today, Friday 23 November, at Flax Bourton Magistrates Court.
