This weekend’s sports round up


It’s been a busy week for Bristol City in The Championship.

After last Saturday’s two- nil  defeat away at Leeds United, The Robins traveled to bottom-placed Ipswich Town on Wednesday.

With the ‘Tractor Boy’s’ high profile fan Ed Sheeran watching on, City came from  one –nil down at half-time, to bag an important three points, winning the game 3-2 and keeping alive  hopes for a play-off place.

Bristol City play Millwall at Ashton Gate, this Sunday, 2 December.

Kick-off is at 13:30


Bristol Rovers who lost 2-1 to Gillingham at home on Tuesday, are not in action after failing to progress to this weekend’s FA Cup 2nd round.

Rovers’ next game is at home v Doncaster Rovers in League One,  on 8 December.


In the lower leagues, Yate  Town, look to extend their lead of the Evo-Stik League South on Saturday

Yate are one point ahead of second-placed Blackfield and Langley FC, with a game in hand

Yate Town run out against local rivals Paulton Rovers, away at The Athletic Ground, kick- off is at 15:00



Bristol Bears Women take-on Harlequins in a Tyrells Premier 15’s clash  tomorrow at their home ground, Shaftesbury Park

Kick-off is at 12 noon

In the men’s Premiership, strugglers Bristol Bears face mid-table Leicester Tigers at Ashton Gate.

The game gets underway at 13:00
