A teenage girl who has died after being hit by a car on Monday night has been named.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed the victim is 17-year-old Tamzin Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tamzin Hall from Wellington died in a collision travelling southbound between Junction 24 (Bridgewater) and Junction 25 (Taunton) shortly after 23:00 on Monday 11 November. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She had exited a police vehicle that had stopped on the northbound side while transporting her moments before the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The paramedics attended the scene within a few minutes, but Tamzin was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A mandatory referral was made to the Independent Office of Police Conduct, which is now carrying out an investigation into what happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon Cummins, Somerset Police Assistant Chief Constable, said: \u201cOur thoughts and our sympathies are first and foremost with the girl’s family.
