The North Bristol Art Trail returns for its 24th year on the 23\u201324 November, offering a unique opportunity to explore the intimate spaces where creativity flourishes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trail invites art lovers into homes, churches and local halls, showcasing everything from solo exhibitions to group displays.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its inception in 2001, the trail has spanned Bishopston, St Andrews, Henleaze and Redland, featuring a vibrant mix of painters, photographers, sculptors and textile artists.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, a stamp-collecting challenge adds a fun twist. Visitors who explore at least six venues can enter a competition to win original artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheryl Cavanagh, an artist based on Harcourt Road, is preparing for her 11th year on the trail. She said she loves the chance to connect with visitors, describing the event as: \u201can unusual and interesting way of viewing art.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor me, the best part is talking to people,\u201d Cheryl shared. \u201cIt\u2019s a great opportunity to share my artistic process and hear how my work resonates.\u201d   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her creative journey began in childhood, inspired by her brother\u2019s paintings, and flourished in Sixth Form when she painted pets for clients. Visitors to her home can not only enjoy her art but also meet her cat Wispa, who often charms guests during their visit.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charcoal artist, John Kane, is moved by the trail\u2019s sense of community: \u201cIt\u2019s very difficult to make a living out of it. It\u2019s about meeting people and sharing ideas.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event has also embraced modern marketing shifts in recent years, with Instagram and Facebook replacing traditional leafleting. Cheryl explains: \u201cWe used to leaflet door-to-door, but it wasn\u2019t working. Now we\u2019re online, and it\u2019s brought visitors from as far as Wales and London.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free to attend, with maps available online<\/a> and at local venues, the trail promises a weekend of inspiration and connection for art enthusiasts and curious visitors alike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
