A fundraiser for a Bristol child who recently sustained life-altering injuries from a hit and run has almost reached its \u00a35,000 target after just two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Four-year-old Carlos Crane was hit by a car driven by James Doherty on Sunday 17 November in the Lawrence Weston area of Bristol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hit and run left Carlos with injuries that his family are calling \u201clife-changing\u201d as he continues to receive critical care in hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A fundraiser has been set up by Carlos\u2019 family to help them with \u201cthe costs of traveling to the hospital daily and providing food for the family\u201d as well as other essentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis accident has turned our world upside down and has shook the family to the core,\u201d the family have said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs parents, we are juggling the emotional toll of supporting Carlos through his recovery while trying to keep life as stable as possible for our other children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith Christmas round the corner and everyone out of work because of this tragic event we are worried about our children not getting the Christmas they deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fundraiser has already raised \u00a34,270 (85% of the total) since it was created two days ago, as the donations continue to flood in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
