Picture: Mitzi Mott<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The National Blue Plaque scheme is being run by Historic England and aims to &#8220;celebrate people from all walks of life who have made a significant contribution to human welfare or happiness&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grant joins Beatles member George Harrison, ceramic designer Clarice Cliff, and the first black NHS matron Daphne Steele as a recipient of the honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The actor also has a plaque at his birthplace in Horfield and a statue in the city centre.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new Blue Plaque has been unveiled to a large crowd in Bishopston at the childhood home of Hollywood giant Cary Grant.
