The Queen is paying a visit to a children’s hospice in Bristol later today.
Her Majesty will be meeting children at Charlton Farm hospice – which is part of the charity Children’s Hospice South West – and will take a tour of the grounds.
Charlton Farm offers “help and support families who face the emotional and physical strain of caring for children who, sadly, are not expected to live into adulthood”.
The hospice currently hosts about 200 children.
Just two years ago, the Queen visited Devon’s Little Bridge Farm to mark the charity’s 30th anniversary.
The Queen, who is a patron of various charities, has long been a supporter of the hospice organisation.
She has been a patron of Children’s Hospice South West since 2014 – when she was Duchess of Cornwall.
