A group of gamers based in Bristol want this year’s charity drive to be “bigger than ever.”

The Jingle Jam, a virtual fundraising drive, is now in its thirteenth year. Since 2011, they have raised an estimated £25 million.

From the 1st to 14th of December, a bundle of discounted games will be available to purchase.

The proceeds from these sales will go towards eight charities, including The Grand Appeal.

This year, they will be joined by creators from across the world, including TommyInnit – a celebrity ambassador for Sarcoma UK.

The drive will focus on four key areas to improve the lives of young people: diversity and inclusion, improving their mental and physical health, support for those affected by global disasters and events, and safeguarding the future of the planet.

The Yogscast have championed the work of The Grand Appeal since 2017, raising £1.8 million.

Their work is set to be honoured in a new, ground-breaking patient hospital aptly titled ‘The Jingle Jam Building’.

Speaking to The Grand Appeal, Jingle Jam founder Lewis Brindley shared his thoughts on the drive returning for another year.

“Every year in December, we turn our focus to raising as much money as possible for amazing charities, like Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal. The gaming industry comes together for the Jingle Jam to help create an incredible Games Collection to encourage gamers to dig deep and donate.”
