Traders on Bristol’s Christmas Steps remain unconvinced by the value of their extended seasonal opening hours.
The ‘late night shopping series’ will be operating on the Thursdays in the run up to Christmas, so shoppers will be able to buy goods from local independent stores. Usually, these stores would be closed before the average 9-5 worker can purchase from them.
Bristol City Council have endorsed this scheme, encouraging shop owners to participate throughout the festive season.
