The former Debenhams store in Broadmead has become home to ‘Shredenhams’ – an indoor skatepark.
The not-for-profit organisation behind the project, Campus Skateparks, also run two other venues across the city: Campus Pool in Bishopsworth and Campus Park in Winterbourne.
Tim Nokes, the Co-Director of Campus Skateparks, expressed his excitement ahead of the park’s launch.
“This is like the dream. We’ve always wanted a big space in a central location and now we’ve finally got it.”
However, Shredenhams may only be around for as little as six months, as there are plans to demolish the closed Debenhams store to make way for 500 flats.
