Bristol’s Watershed hosted ‘An Evening of Sanctuary: Child Migrant Voices’ this week in partnership with the City of Sanctuary charity.
The collaboration aimed to raise awareness for child migration in Bristol, with the creators all having been asylum seekers in their childhood.
Only a week after the first Major International Immigration conference was hosted in the UK, the producers aimed to show the hardships that Asylum seekers face, particularly those under-18.
The collaboration included Maurice Nwokejii, who survived bombs and starvation in the Biafran War.
All proceeds of the event will go towards supporting child immigrants in the UK, purchasing essential items such as clothing.
