Manhunt as prisoner escapes South Gloucestershire jail

Avon and Somerset Police are hunting a prisoner who escaped from HMP Leyhill in South Gloucestershire earlier this week.

Adam Crawford, 39, escaped from the prison on Wednesday.

Crawford is described as being white, 6ft tall, medium build with short brown hair. One of his distinguishing features is a wizard tattoo on his neck.

Police said that when Crawford escaped, he was wearing a blue jacket and trousers, red and white trainers and a white T-shirt.
