Bristol Cathedral confirm new window design

Bristol Cathedral has selected artist Joseph Iyojemi’s “Let there be Light” stained-glass design to install beside it’s window from the 1880’s honouring slave trader Edward Colston. Following a public consultation after the 2020 protests, a decision was made to retain the original window whilst adding a new artwork in dialogue with it. The new window will reference Bristol’s Afro-Caribbean history as a symbol of hope, repentance and liberation.
